This clock is illustrated in Tran Duy Ly, Kroeber Clocks, American and Imported, p. 47. The book notes that it is “the premier and most expensive Harris & Harrington tubular chiming tall clock, Model No. 9, with nine tubes that Kroeber used on his letterhead and envelope stationery. This clock’s movement was made by J.J. Elliott & Co. of London, for whom Harris & Harrington were agents. A 1905 price list shows the movement retailed for $185, and the carved case with glass sides as pictured was an additional $117 for a total of $302.” A copy of the book accompanies the clock.
